Jeremiah Grossman · blog.jeremiahgrossman.com

Building on RSnake's chrome: protocol finding, Grossman ships working detection for installed Firefox extensions: create an IMG object per signature pointing at a chrome:// icon unique to that extension, and an onload handler names the ones present. Includes a table of roughly 47 extension-to-URL signatures and live proof-of-concept code.
