MitM DNS Rebinding SSL/TLS Wildcards and XSS
A network attacker chains DNS rebinding with a wildcard TLS certificate: after the victim logs into a hardened subdomain, the attacker firewalls its IP and rebinds the name to a sibling subdomain that carries an XSS and ignores the Host header. The wildcard cert validates, the XSS runs in the hardened origin, then a second rebind returns to the real host so session cookies apply.
