Side Channel Attacks in SSL
A short pointer post flagging the Microsoft Research and Indiana University paper on side-channel leaks in encrypted web traffic, which pre-empted a Black Hat talk. It sketches the author's own angle: HTML loading scripts, CSS and images produces a chain of observable sub-requests a man in the middle can use to cut noise on the wire.
